My September mini artwork

This month’s Mini Artwork is a little pelican, brought to life with a mix of watercolour and delicate stippling.

Pelicans are such fascinating birds. They seem almost comical at first glance with their oversized beaks, but there’s also a quiet grace to the way they glide across the water or gather together on the shoreline. 

This piece was created with to a dear friend of mine in mind, whose favourite animal is the pelican. Knowing how much joy and meaning this bird holds for them made the process of creating it feel even more special.
