The ‘Loo as Art’ project was run by Engineers Without Borders in 2014 to raise awareness about worldwide sanitation issues.
Cobie Ann Moore along with 24 other artists exhibited her painted loo as part of a multi-day public art display at Customs House forecourt (opposite Circular Quay) in Sydney leading up to and including World Toilet Day.
World Toilet Day is a UN recognized event, observed annually on 19 November. This international day of action aims to break the taboo around toilets and draw attention to the global sanitation challenge.
