The April RAW Showcase 'IMPACT'

The April RAW Showcase 'IMPACT'

In the ever-evolving world of emerging artists, getting noticed is no small feat. But in April 2019, I had the incredible opportunity to exhibit my work at the April RAW Showcase 'IMPACT,' and it was an experience that left a lasting mark on both my artistic journey and the audience that attended. Let me take you on a personal journey through the creation and impact of my largest artwork to date.

RAW Showcases: A Platform for Emerging Artists

RAW showcases are live events that serve as a launchpad for emerging artists across various creative genres. Whether it's visual art, fashion and accessory design, craft, film, tech, music, performance art, hair and makeup artistry, or photography, these showcases celebrate the diversity and depth of artistic talent. For me, it was an opportunity to share my vision with a broader audience.

My Artwork

At the April RAW Showcase 'IMPACT' in 2019, I unveiled my most ambitious artwork yet. Comprising an impressive 25 A3 panels, my piece portrayed two lovers locked in a moment of almost-kiss.

I've always been fascinated by the concept of transformation, both in the physical and emotional sense. My artwork was a manifestation of this fascination. This portrayal of change, dualities, and contradictions in human relationships was a central theme in my work.

In my piece, the snakes symbolized deceit, danger, or temptation, while the birds represented freedom, beauty, and the potential for flight. This juxtaposition of opposing elements invited viewers to ponder the intricate balance between love and risk in human connections.
